You couldn’t have missed all the rumors and leaks about that certain five-inch phone that was pictured initially with the HTC6435 name. It was later rumored to be called the HTC ‘DIX’ (as in Droid Incredible X) once it lands on Verizon and expected to pack a five-inch full HD screen. Well, the phone was just announced in Japan and it is called the HTC J Butterfly.
It packs a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon APQ8064 chip clocking at 1.5GHz, most probably the S4 Pro, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of Internal Storage with microSD card expansion slot, eight-megapixel camera on the back, two-megapixel front-facer, and LTE capability. As for the screen, it is a five-inch Super LCD 3 with a full HD 1920×1080 resolution for a whopping 440PPI. The battery is 2,020mAh and there’s Android 4.1 Jelly Bean out of the box.
It comes in red, white and black which seems to be exactly what we’ve seen leaked in the past. The only problem with this phone is that it’s not available everywhere, like now! Reports have it that this phone will not be available outside of Japan and that HTC is allegedly going to make the screen available worldwide, probably in a different case and slightly tweaked internals.
