Nokia’s Windows Phone 8 offering on Verizon seems to be very active in the rumors and leaks. We’ve already seen a press render of Verizon’s Lumia 820 variant (as well as some in-the-wild images) and we’ve had the utmost pleasure to see Mr. Blurrycam’s best yet, the purported Lumia 920 flavor for Big Red.
A new rumor has surfaced and it is interesting to say the least. The Lumia 9xx for Verizon is claimed to have the same camera module as the Lumia 920, but with a higher megapixel count. Some reports went as far as supporting the idea of a 41-megapixel sensor (which we don’t think is the case knowing the dimensions of the hump on the PureView 808). Still in the imaging category, the front facer on said device will have two-megapixels, beating the pixel count on the Windows Phone 8X by HTC.
Last but not least, the pricing hinted is $149 with a two-year contract on Verizon.
As far as rumors are concerned, this too, needs to be treated with a dose of skepticism.
