Over the past several days, much of the remaining mystery surround the Apple iPad Mini has started coming together. We heard reports that the launch event would take place on October 23, and yesterday looked at a leak that attempted to reveal not just all the various hardware configurations the tablet will arrive in, but what Apple’s thinking about charging, as well. If it felt like things were leading up to something official, that’s because they have been, and today Apple began distributing invitations to what’s presumably its iPad Mini launch event.
Apple loves dropping hints about the content of its events in its invitations, and this time’s no different. Obviously, the pun here is on the “little” more Apple wants to show us literally being a little tablet. You could also read the line as referencing the absence of the iPad Mini at the iPhone 5 launch event, following speculation that Apple might premiere both devices in a one-two punch.
Assuming Apple comes through and announces the iPad Mini at this October 23 event (and there’s no reason to suspect it wouldn’t), we might be looking at the hardware actually arriving sometime around November 9.
