We’ve seen pictures of the yet unannounced Lumia 820 variant for Verizon, dubbed Lumia 822 (which we didn’t necessarily like in terms of design) and rumor has it it will go for roughly $50 on contract with the carrier. Same source made available a couple of additional images of the alleged device, seen above and below.
According to the report we can expect 16GB of internal storage on the phone with the microSD card slot option also being available, just like on the global Lumia 820. We also learn that the phone supports wireless charging and that it feels plasticky, like the good old HTC Trophy.
As far as software is concerned Nokia Maps and Nokia Drive (as well as most probably all other Nokia specific offerings) are available and documents and pictures are subject to bluetooth sharing. We’re expecting Verizon to send out official wording about the phone knowing that the Windows Phone 8 launch date is getting closer and closer every day, and pre-orders are already being rumored.
