The iPhone 5 may have overtaken the Samsung Galaxy S III when it comes to the impact phone owners are making on websites, but for the moment, at least, the GS3 is still one of the hottest Androids around. Sure, that’s likely to change in the coming months, especially if everything we’ve been hearing about Google Nexus devices is true, but the GS3 remains a solid choice for the time being. If you’re thinking about picking one up, we’ve got news of a short sale going down this weekend, as well as some new color options coming to Verizon.
This Sunday, and Sunday alone, Best Buy will be offering on-contract Galaxy S IIIs for AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint for just $100. Wait a few more weeks, and some better deals might roll around, but this is one of the best you can hope for right now.
As for Verizon and its selection of GS3 handsets, the carrier has announced that it’s adding black and brown options to its lineup. Both choices are available when ordering online (so no luck if you also wanted to get in on that Best Buy deal), and the black option will also be showing up in Verizon’s retail stores as of October 22.
