Next Android Gmail App Brings Swipe Actions, Pinch-To-Zoom (Video)

Google is apparently preparing a new version of its Gmail Android application and it is bringing two notable features to the table. The video below demonstrates just that on a new version of the application which, without direct confirmation, was most probably ripped off of an upcoming Android build (4.2 is hinted from the next Nexus).

Two of the most notable features (there are probably also the usual bugfixes and performance improvements) are the swipe action and pinch-to-zoom. You can pretty much swipe away e-mails just like you do with notifications in the Jelly Bean tray. The action for swipe can be configured to either e-mail deletion or archiving and it is reversible with the help of an Undo button. Probably the most anticipated feature is pinch to zoom which is pretty self-explanatory. Check out a short video demo below.
