Samsung Galaxy S III mini rumors go as back as mid-August, before the IFA which brought us the Galaxy Note II. More recently it has popped up in retailer systems and now Samsung’s head of mobile not only confirmed its existence but went on record to hand out details to the media.
We can expect the phone to be unveiled tomorrow, October 11, in Germany. As far as specs are concerned, JK Shin said Europe should expect to see the same internals as in the case of the Galaxy S III, only on a smaller, four-inch form factor. Shrinking down the Galaxy S III to the same dimension as the iPhone 5 not only makes it more attractive to people who didn’t necessarily like the Galaxy S III but it will also directly compete with Apple’s new smartphone.
There were no details about pricing and availability but we should find out more once the press release is sent out at the time of the event. Until then let us know if you’d consider a four-inch Galaxy S III.
