We were just talking about our next Google Nexus phone wish-lists and it appears that some alleged images of an LG E960 have popped up on the interwebs. Maybe it is just us or maybe the two phones which you’ll see below are really not the same devices, but different sources claim different phones with the same codename to be the next Nexus.
First off we have these pictures right below which are originating from an AndroidCentral tipster. You can see an LG Optimus G-esque out aspect with Android 4.1.2 running under the hood. If you compare it to the LG Optimus G you’ll see a different camera placement; no other details were published but check out these images right here.
Then we have the images below which are originating from a Russian forum; the key takeaway here is that the images above, those from AndroidCentral, are snapped off of allegedly the same phone as the one below. The only thing to note here is that there was a shell or case reportedly being used to conceal the aspect and design of the unit. The images below are claimed to be the real deal, the LG Nexus.
The codename of the alleged LG Nexus E960 is Mako which is pretty much in line with Google’s Nexus naming convention. Again, there are no details but as per some previous reports and rumors, a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro SoC clocking at 1.5GHz is expected to power this device, a la Optimus G. Let us know what you think of that pattern on the back!
