We’ve been talking about the HTC Droid Incredible X (or might that be the HTC One X 5?) for weeks and weeks now, and although we’ve seen potential pics and heard about rumored release plans (that failed to pan out), we had still yet to get hard confirmation of the phone’s existence. As we await official word from HTC or Verizon, some new specs have emerged, possibly giving us a more complete idea of what to expect from the phone’s hardware.
The DIX’s claim to fame has been a five-inch screen with a full HD 1080p resolution. Indeed, that’s mentioned here, along with a few other details. We’ve seen plenty of Android smartphones with 1GB RAM, and 2GB is quickly becoming common, but HTC could be going out on its own with this handset by giving the Incredible X 1.5GB, splitting the difference.
Processor-wise, the DIX should be going head-to-head with the LG Optimus G, also sporting a quad-core S4 Pro. According to the rest of this rumor, the phone will support NFC, have a non-removable 2500mAh battery, and 16GB internal storage. Look for a twelve megapixel main camera with a two megapixel front-facer.
