We just shared word with you of AT&T’s announcement of the Nokia Lumia 820 and 920. While we didn’t see any images of the new hardware at first, leaving us unable to confirm or deny rumors that Nokia had managed to arrange for the release of its new phones without any sort of carrier badging, iPhone-style, those pictures have subsequently turned up.
Sorry to let you down, but the new Lumias at AT&T will most definitely arrive with the carrier’s logo, front and prominent.
At the least, news of the phone coming to AT&T has managed to confirm the presence of a cyan 920, which Nokia had been teasing in some of its videos.
Even with the logo-free rumors not playing out, we’re hopeful that the discussion that’s resulted from the news, with plenty of comments form users wishing that the news was true, might help send the message to carriers that we’d quite appreciate them keeping their hands off manufacturers’ nice, clean phone designs.
