The newest version of the Google Play Books application, for supported devices and where available, is version 2.6.31 and it brings a number of important enhancements and fixes. Those who can access the app in the Google Play Store can use it to read books they purchase while on the go.
The latest version adds highlighting capabilities, notes, dictionary, “Places” info cards, translation, sepia mode, as well as sliding page-turn animations. Those are quite a lot of enhancements but it doesn’t stop here: the refresh fixes crashes on launch on certain devices, alongside other new bits. Make sure to check with your Play Store app for the update in case you are living in a region that supports Play Books.
