Maybe HTC’s five-inch 1080p Android will be an upcoming Google Nexus device, one of several such models from a number of OEMs, but what about a straight-up Galaxy Nexus 2? Surely a new Samsung model would be a prime candidate for joining that club, right? We’ve been looking into the possibility of the Samsung GT-i9260 as being that handset, and checked out some specs attributed to the phone. We’ve yet to get a look at the hardware itself, but now we might have the chance to at least see what the phone’s own camera can do, upon the discovery of some images purported to be snapped by the GT-i9260.
The EXIF data reveals a camera that seems to be a bit of an improvement from the Galaxy S III, further fueling rumors that this will be a top-tier device, which is just what we’d expect from the Galaxy Nexus 2. Beyond that, though, this find doesn’t generate much new info.
How likely is all this sounding to you? Multiple Nexus models would be a major departure for Google, but maybe that’s what it needs to stand out – a whole group of core “Google experience” Androids that represent the best of what all the major manufacturers can produce.
