Today one of the earliest Windows Phone 7 Xbox games from 2010 has seen a major update. Its last update was pretty good too, that brought pinnable levels, ringtones, and a new icon, but now Rocket Riot adds some even-more exciting features including multi-player Xbox LIVE challenge modes and Avatar Awards that you can unlock. The multi-player challenges aren’t exactly playing against a friend in real time, nor are they turn-based. Essentially you can create a “challenge” and invite your Xbox LIVE friends to it or make it public. You choose the parameters of the challenge such as location, goal, difficulty, etc. Then you set the number of days that the challenge will take place for. At the end of that number of days, whomever has the highest score is the winner. You can also search for public challenges and join them to see if you can beat the other players’ high score.
You can download Rocket Riot from the Windows Phone store here. It still costs $4.99 for the full version, but of course there is a free trial.
