Are you a Verizon subscriber looking to upgrade in the next several months? Curious what your choices will be like? Some new roadmap info for the carrier has just leaked, giving us a peek at what’s on the agenda through the rest of the year, into early 2013.
First up is the Samsung Stratosphere 2, a mid-range Android powered by a Snapdragon S4 and featuring a sliding QWERTY keyboard. That one should hit Verizon before the end of the month.
In October, the LG Spectrum 2 is expected to make its appearance. This what’s been released internationally as the LTE II, and we’ve been waiting all summer to see what Verizon’s going to do with it.
November seems to be the big month, with Verizon expecting newly-announced Windows Phone 8 models from Samsung, HTC, and Nokia, as well as several Androids. There’s Motorola’s RAZR Maxx HD (the RAZR HD itself is tied to a more nebulous mid-Q4 date), as well as the mysterious HTC Droid Incredible X (aka HTC One X 5). This supposed five-inch handset may just have a 1080p display, and it could land with a quad-core SoC.
Further down the line, Verizon’s got its eyes on BlackBerry 10 gear in Q1 2013.
