During HTC’s announcement of their new Windows Phone 8X and 8S smartphones, we noticed a few new buttons in their presentation. It’s nothing spectacular, but certainly a built-in cropping and image rotation tool are welcome additions to the photos viewing app. Previously, only the “Auto-fix” button was available and you needed to go to the “Apps” menu in order to transfer the image to another image-editing app that offered more features. I’m sure, the “…” menu still includes an “Apps” command or “Lenses” that will allow for 3rd party image editing applications, but having quick access to the crop and rotate tools will be quite nice.
