Did you stay up late last Thursday night in order to get your iPhone 5 order in among the first wave, claiming one of the first available handsets to ship? Our poll showed that among site readers who have decided to take the plunge on a new iPhone 5, quite a few of you managed to snag one from that first batch. If you did, be sure to hurry home today to check for packages, as the first shipments of iPhone 5 orders are reportedly arriving for US customers.
Right now, Apple’s estimates for iPhone 5 availability has really slipped back, and orders placed today might not see their phones arrive for nearly another month.
Of course, that’s not the only way to get a new iPhone 5, and with the start of retail sales tomorrow, you might have some luck in a brick-and-mortar Apple Store. That is, assuming that the lines at your local store haven’t gotten so long already thanks to early fans camping out that there’s little chance of any stock not already being spoken for.
