Did you stay up late last Thursday night in order to get your iPhone 5 order in among the first wave, claiming one of the first available handsets to ship? Right now, Apple’s estimates for iPhone 5 availability has really slipped back, and orders placed today might not see their phones arrive for nearly another month.

Of course, that’s not the only way to get a new iPhone 5, and with the start of retail sales tomorrow, you might have some luck in a brick-and-mortar Apple Store. That is, assuming that the lines at your local store haven’t gotten so long already thanks to early fans camping out that there’s little chance of any stock not already being spoken for.
