Nokia sure is getting catty with its interactions with other smartphone companies as of late. While some of that’s been directed at Android and Google, it’s also been calling-out other Windows Phone OEMs over what it’s been depicting as a lackluster Windows Phone 8 effort. Samsung got a taste of that a couple weeks back, and now it’s HTC’s turn, hot on the heels of the company’s announcement of the 8X and 8S.
Nokia’s Chris Weber describes today as “more good news”, making some strong implications that HTC’s launch of the 8X and 8S amounts to little more than an effort to “tactically re-brand their products”, without offering much in the way of anything new worth getting excited about.
Weber continues, saying, “it takes more than matching color to match the innovation of the Lumia 920.”
Granted, Chris, but some attractive multi-toned color options sure can’t hurt things any; consumers want phones that are as nice to look at as they are to use.
