One of the last stages (if not the last as far as Microsoft is concerned) of Windows Phone 8 is RTM, standing for Released to Manufacturing, also known as Gold version. According to reports, the next-gen Microsoft mobile platform has just been signed off to RTM, just as previous rumors implied — when they talked about a September timeframe for this to happen.
The information comes from “unnamed” sources who also indicated that the platform is evolving according to plans. While the full set of features is yet to be unveiled — we’ve only been shown parts of the platform, with more information to become public along the way — Microsoft and its OEM partners are well off for a possible November debut, laying the foundation for an excellent Holiday timing.
