If LG plays its cards right, it might really have an Android worth noticing with the release of the Optimus G. After LG distributed invitations the other day for an event next week, we’ve been hoping that it will take the opportunity to share the details of how this phone will come to the US. While LG’s still keeping us guessing, the phone’s already been announced for the South Korean market, and LG’s been preparing its advertising campaign for the handset.
This new video doesn’t really show anything new, but it’s still a nice way to get a quick look at a new phone that’s yet to debut over here. On paper, the Optimus G sounds just fantastic, and its quad-core Snapdragon S4 SoC has the potential to blow nearly everything else, Exynos 4 Quad included, right out of the water.
Of course, there’s a whole lot more a phone’s success rides on than just its processing power, which just makes us nervous that there are a lot of ways the handset could still let us down. We’re trying to keep optimistic, as LG could really use a win about now.
