We all know that Microsoft will be selling its much-anticipated Surface tablet directly, and while the company has quite a few retail locations spread across the US, it hardly has the same sort of footprint that Apple’s been able to establish. With the holiday season coming up, and plenty of new Microsoft gear getting ready to go up for sale, the company has revealed plans to open 32 “pop-up” stores across the US and Canada.
We don’t yet know exactly when each of these locations will open, nor for just how long they’ll end up sticking around, but if you’re itching to try out a Surface tablet in the flesh before making your purchase, you’ll want to keep an eye on any of these locations that are nearby.
Beyond Surface, you can also expect to find the latest Windows Phone 8 hardware on display at these pop-up stores, as well as non-Surface Windows 8 tablets from Microsoft’s family of OEMs.
