Look at that: one of the newest OEMs of the still one digit marketshare holder platform showing off some balls and picking a fight with the Goliath. Let’s just hope this is not a case of a dog only barking and not biting. Here’s the story: as you very well know, a couple of hours from now Nokia will show off at least one Windows Phone 8-powered device, and a working one at that, according to the CEO.
Building up the buzz, the tweet above has been sent out by the Finnish manufacturer. While the confidence is definitely admirable, we’re eagerly waiting the demo of a phone which, according to Nokia, will top the best and fastest Android ever out there, Jelly Bean. Don’t get me wrong, Microsoft and Nokia are each a Goliath of their own and we can’t wait to see some muscle flexing, but Android 4.1 Jelly Bean seems to be sitting in a very comfortable spot right now (not to mention that we barely saw a tip of the iceberg when it comes to consumer features of the new Microsoft platform). What do you think of the tweet, with its attached image? Should Google start worrying?
