As we mentioned recently, one of the devices we most anticipate for IFA 2012 is none other than the big Samsung Galaxy Note II. I do hope that Samsung figures out a way to fit the new phablet’s display into a smaller housing in order to make the experience even better when carrying such a brick in the pocket, but at least we now have word on the specs that’ll be powering the new Note II, and so far we find:
- A 1.4GHz quad-core Exynos processor
- Android 4.1 Jelly Bean
- An 8 megapixel camera, which disappoints our expectations of a 12 megapixel shooter
- 4G LTE connectivity
- Either 16GB or 32GB of internal storage
No word sadly on the option for MicroSD expansion, or if quad-core processor with LTE support will play together on just one device. Samsung really has no excuse to not fit everything into that big housing, but you know how engineers will be engineers.
The Galaxy Note II is expected to be announced on Samsung’s August 29th Unpacked event at IFA, so stay tunned at our detailed coverage as our team gets some hands-on love for you. They’ll most likely need two hands though.
