One of the trials between Apple and Samsung is coming to an end and, before the jury deliberates, the two companies gave their closing arguments, final statements. Apple is accusing Samsung of copying the iPhone’s design and even showed the court slides with Samsung devices before and after the iPhone hit the market.
Part of Apple’s final statement was this sentence: “not every smartphone needs to look like an iPhone”. At that point Apple showed a Nokia-made Lumia and a Sony (Ericsson)-made Xperia Arc, emphasizing on these two examples that, according to their beliefs, managed to become successful without their manufacturers copying Apple’s design.
We are all expecting the verdict and we’ll let you know as soon as something happens but one thing is for sure: Apple will not sue Nokia and Sony over these two devices.
