Companies are usually sending out press releases a week or so before a show and then they hold press conferences or device launches a couple of days before the show, where they show off new hardware. Acer seems to follow this unwritten rule to the letter and has announced the Liquid Gallant and Liquid Gallant Duo.
We’re basically talking about twins here, with the only differentiator being the fact that the Duo packs a dual-SIM slot. Both phones are running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, pack a 4.3-inch display with a qHD resolution, 1GHz MediaTek single-core processor, 1GB of RAM, and five-megapixel camera with a 1,500mAh battery. There is no information on pricing but given the specs we’re probably looking at budget phones, with the Duo landing in September and the Solo shortly after.
