Nokia Windows Phone 8 Front Panel Leaks

Last week we saw some pics of a Nokia Windows Phone model that we didn’t quite recognize, appearing to run Windows Phone 8. Some things about the imagery just didn’t add up, though, like how the Windows logo was still the old, wavy design. Well, now there’s a new leak out that seems to resolve at least that issue, showing off the front glass of what seems to be one of Nokia’s forthcoming Windows Phone 8 models.

The design here is a whole lot less boxy than the Lumia 800 or 900, suggesting that we could be looking at a handset that more closely resembles the 610. Instead of that model’s tiny 3.7-inch screen, this one measures-in closer to 4.3 inches. With a display that size, it’s conceivable that this could be one of the models to take advantage of Windows Phone 8’s new 720p support.

We’ve heard plenty of potential codenames for in-development Nokia hardware, but considering how little we know about them all, it would be difficult to try and say that this component belongs to any one in particular.

Is this kind of smoothed-out design a good direction for Nokia to be heading, or do you prefer the boxier look of the 900?
