Motorola Teases Smartphone Announcement For Friday; RAZR HD?

Motorola has started a little game over on its Facebook page. Through the rest of the week, it’s going to be dropping a few hints as to the identity of a mystery phone. Once Friday comes around, Motorola will finally reveal just which model it’s been talking about. What could it be?

Technically, Motorola doesn’t out and say that this is an unannounced handset, but it would seem a bit silly to just randomly start something like this to promote an existing model; we can probably assume quite safely that this will be a new smartphone. The most obvious candidate for its identity might be the Droid RAZR HD, which we’ve already seen getting ready for Verizon, as well as international carriers.

Despite hearing rumors about the RAZR HD for months, we’ve had little to go on when it comes to the phone’s release plans. As such, we’re anxious to learn some sort of timetable, and if that really is the model Motorola’s talking about, Friday could finally shed some light on the situation.

For now, the only clue is that this is an LTE model. Frankly, at this point in time that’s like saying the phone has a battery. Hopefully, the additional clues Motorola drops over the net few days will be a little more insightful.
