Users of the Motorola Xoom tablet, in its WiFi iteration, will receive an official Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean update soon. The tablet is regarded by many as the first Nexus tablet from Google even though this isn’t entirely true. However, it is good to see Google and Motorola keeping the first Honeycomb slate up to date.
The refresh will bump the platform version all the way to the latest 4.1.1 and bring, according to the official wording, an improved and more responsive user interface, expandable, actionable notifications, a smarter keyboard, improved text-to-speech capabilities, voice search as well as an improved search experience. The new build will be JRO03H and will be available for all WiFi Motorola Xoom tablets.
