Right now, if you want to pick up an HTC One S in the States on T-Mobile, you’re stuck with only the gray-ish “blue” color option. If that was the only one around, we’d be fine with it, but international One S users have the choice to also go with a sleek, black design; we bet more than a few you with T-Mobile One S handsets wish you had that same option when purchasing your phone. If the current situation wasn’t frustrating enough, now we’re learning that T-Mobile does, indeed, have some of these black models, but it won’t be selling them to you anytime soon.
Much like the customized Droid RAZR in red, this one’s an employee perk. Reportedly, they’re being awarded to retail staff for exceptional performance, so unless you feel like signing-on for a new career, you’re probably out of luck.
Of course, there’s always the chance T-Mobile will make the black One S more widely available in the future, and actually put this version up for sale, but we’ve yet to see any kind of evidence that such a move could be in its plans.
