There are more mobile platforms ported to and running on the HTC HD2 than those left out and the phone seems to be just as capable as it was in the day of its launch when it brought capacitive touch screens to Windows Mobile. We’ve since then seen it running Windows Phone 7 and Android and it looks like the story just won’t stop there.
We were wondering when will Windows Phone 8 be ported to older hardware, like the HTC HD2, but it looks like until then the device has one more ace up its sleeve: Android 4.1 Jelly Bean! That’s right, you can run Google’s latest and greatest on your HD2. Of course, it’s plagued with bugs at this stage and it can’t really be used as a daily driver but it surely makes a good proof of concept and a statement.
