Last month, we checked out some images of a new Android Motorola has in the works for Verizon, likely to arrive as the RAZR HD. Today, a pic of a similar but clearly distinct phone has come to our attention, and this guy’s also sporting some Verizon badging on its rear. Just what is this new Motorola XT907?
Well, we’re at a loss for many details on the XT907 besides what we can gleam from the photo, but perhaps a sibling can give us some clues. Motorola is pretty consistent in grouping similar phones together by model number, and there’s an XT905 that has a User Agent Profile available for it. That info reveals a handset with a qHD display and on-screen Android buttons, making it out to sound like a Droid RAZR of sorts that was designed with Android 4.0 in mind.
Could Motorola be planning this as a more budget-priced model to accompany the higher-end RAZR HD? The smoothed-out corners don’t really scream “RAZR”, so it might not end up named as part of that family, though.
While we don’t get to take a look at the front of the phone, rumors suggest it has quite the narrow bezel. For now, there still aren’t any solid leads on when it might arrive; we’ll be keeping an eye on any new VZW roadmaps that leak, checking to see if the XT907 ever pops-up.
