Samsung rounds-out this week with decisions coming in on a pair of rulings made regarding the sales injunctions against two of its Androids. Ultimately, the manufacturer finds its fortunes split, with one ruling supporting and one against its interests.
Good news first: the preliminary injunction halting imports of the Galaxy Nexus has received a temporary stay, clearing Google to resume sales of the handset. Sure, it was planning on doing so next week anyway, after releasing Jelly Bean for the phone and making some small modifications to avoid infringing upon the single issue at hand, but it’s a small victory for Samsung and Google, all the same.
On the other hand, Samsung didn’t come out on top in a similar decision regarding the injunction against sales of its Galaxy Tab 10.1. For the moment, at least, Apple’s request to prevent Samsung from selling the tablet will remain in effect. There’s no word yet on if Samsung is planning on trying anything similar to the release of the Galaxy Tab 10.1N in order to circumvent the ruling.
