Our good friends over at Negri Electronics were kind enough to provide us with this evaluation unit of LG’s latest and greatest smartphone, the LG 4X HD. 4X, as you probably deduced stands for “quad core”.
This isn’t a US phone, in fact, our version came pre-configured for German, and it shows! That’s okay, it’s easy enough to change languages in Android, so we won’t dwell on it. The phone takes a standard-sized GSM SIM, so it will work anywhere under a GSM umbrella. The box is shrink-wrapped, which is somewhat unusual, but once the warp is removed and the seal broken, the contents of the box are pretty much what you’d expect: phone, a “new technology” battery, manuals, USB cord and power adapter, headphones, and a pair of NFC tags for quickly switching profiles.
Hit play on the video below for the hot, hot unboxing action where we’ll show you what comes with it, a quick hardware tour, and even the first boot up.
