We haven’t really seen much of Sharp’s current Android skin, but they’ve just announced that they will be teaming up with a design firm called frog in order to create a new Android based user experience called “Feel UX”. You’ll find it on Sharp’s AQUOS smartphones later this summer. Some of the main UI improvements include lock screen widget functionality and real-time weather animation. Using different gestures on the lock screen you can swipe through different photos, check the weather, see notifications, look at stock quotes, play music, and even unlock straight to the camera. Within the skin itself there are some interesting design changes too. The widget wall is much more rectangular and it scrolls vertically just like Windows Phone 7. That helps to keep all of your widgets nicely organized. There are some interesting gestures for customizing the app listing and a nice shortcuts panel as well. Check out the video below to see the concept art for Sharp’s new Feel UX interface below and let us know what you think.
