Even though the internals of the Samsung Galaxy S III offer a great user experience in terms of speed — and the new TouchWiz UX Nature that Samsung bundled is really lightweight and fast — some might still prefer a vanilla Android experience on today’s best Android smartphone made by the South Korean manufacturer.
CyanogenMod 9 Nightlies are now available for the phone. The Nightly build are the latest ones but often contain some bugs; in this case, “FM Radio is currently not supported, using LED flash causes some problems and waking the device up using volume keys might not work because the device is sleeping too deep and doesn’t recognize key presses”.
However, if you understand the risks, as usual, and want to give it a try, follow the source link below for instructions, feedback and download links. If you only want to root the Samsung Galaxy S III and you’re not ready to dive in the custom ROM world, check out our rooting tutorial.
