Launcher Wars 7: Regina 3D Launcher

One of the things we love about Android is the ability to change the look and feel of the launcher just by installing a new app. There are lots of replacement launchers, so many in fact that we’ve devoted an entire series to them: Launcher Wars.

In this episode we’ll walk through Regina Launcher, a very 3D, smooth, and animated launcher.

Regina Launcher comes in two flavors: standard, which is free; and pro, which costs a few bucks.  It also has more than a few add-ons that you can download from the Play Store to add extra widgets and functionality to the launcher.

There are a few drawbacks: due to performance constraints this launcher isn’t compatible with Live Wallpapers; and it’s not optimized for tablets.

Other than those and a few minor bugs I ran into with the calendar widget, this is a very smooth and fluid launcher that will add an extra level of polish to your Android-powered smartphone.
