Spotify and Android users were left in the dark for quite some time but at the end of April the company finally let everyone know what they were working on for Android. The preview of the application promised good things ahead and now the final version of the streaming software is finally available to download in the Google Play Store.
Everything in Spotify for Android is new, since it’s a “top-to-bottom redesign”. According to the change log, the new version has full support for Android 4.0, offers slide-out navigation, enables the use of crossfade/gapless playback in the settings, has its own widget, folder support, high resolution artist imagery, ‘Extreme’ sound quality setting for 320kbps listening, and much more.
