The Nokia 808 PureView will most probably take over the title of “king of camera phones” from the Nokia N8 (and later on from the Apple iPhone 4S and the rest) but the main problem with the phone is that it is running a platform, Symbian, abandoned by Nokia.
We heard that the PureView technology might be landing eventually on Windows Phone but Chris Webber, President of Nokia U.S., admitted that the company is working on bringing the technology to Windows Phone. A combination of Lumia and PureView will definitely give both the Finnish manufacturer and Microsoft a boost since the current offering on Lumia phones isn’t the best on the market in terms of imaging (despite the Carl Zeiss lens).
