Andy Rubin has tweeted out two pieces of information which are both important for Android fans (we just can’t figure our which one is more important). We’ll go with Mr. Android’s preference and tell you that his eleventh tweet reassures everyone that Rubin will not leave Google (at least not for now), contrary to recent rumors which have surfaced on the inter webs.
The second piece of information tells us that there are now over 900,000 daily Android activations, 50,000 up from the 850,000 tweeted by Rubin on February 27. This of course counts smartphones and tablets and the general trend, while still growing, seems to slow down. There will inevitably be a point where these numbers will stop growing, but with the new wave of excellent devices — like the HTC One X and the Samsung Galaxy S III — out we can’t see it anytime soon.
No plans to leave Google.Oh, and just for meme completeness — there are over 900,000 android devices activated each day
