WWDC iOS 6 Signage Spotted, Surprises No One
The last week or two have been just chock full of rumors looking to the sort of features we can expect from Apple’s iOS 6. While we’re well familiar with just how hard to predict Apple can be, it’s been seeming pretty likely that the company would formally announce iOS 6 at this year’s Worldwide Developers Conference, kicking-off next Monday in San Francisco. As Apple prepares the Moscone West exhibition hall for its event, one curious smartphone fan managed to snap a pic that quite clearly confirms the company’s plans to announce iOS 6.
So far, we’ve heard about the potential for iOS 6 to see some deep integration with Facebook, offering an experience along the same lines of the current Twitter integration. Then there’s the whole mess of features that are due to come to OS X with the release of Mountain Lion, some of which we’ve heard will carry-over to iOS 6.
We’re also wondering what the new OS might mean for Siri, and if we’ll see its reach spread to the iPad. Don’t forget about the re-worked apps we’ve heard Apple has been preparing, including a new Maps that could feature some impressive 3D content.
If even some of this ends up true, Apple should have a great deal to talk about next week. Check back with us then to learn what was revealed!
Update: There’s more.
