Father’s Day is just around the corner, and T-Mobile would much rather see you getting dear old dad a brand new smartphone instead of some golf clubs or that steak-of-the-month subscription you’ve been eyeing. Full details on the promotion aren’t yet available, but from the leaked promotional materials that bring us this news, it looks like all the phones in the carrier’s lineup will be sold for free on-contract.
Sadly, the sale will be hear and gone before the Samsung Galaxy S III comes to the carrier, but there are some other handsets that you still might find attractive with these savings in place. Android fans have the HTC One S, normally going for $200, or if you’re into hardware keyboards, the aging myTouch 4G Slide is normally $150.
On Windows Phone, there’s the HTC Radar 4G, usually $100, and the biggest savings to be found might be on BlackBerry, with the Bold 9900 still selling for a whopping $300 on-contract.
Again, there might be limitations we’re not yet aware of, so don’t get too invested in the idea of snagging one of these handsets free-on-contract until we get official word from the carrier.
