News of Microsoft preparing a version of its Office suite for the Apple iPad broke over the winter, featuring a pretty convincing shot of the app supposedly in action on the tablet. Though Microsoft initially denied the news, subsequent statements made it look like a very real possibility. More recently, we heard that progress had also been made on an Android version of Office, and that both the iOS and Android editions would be arriving sometime this fall. That’s still a long way off, but a new rumor out today attempts to nail-down the app’s release date, claiming that Office will hit the iPad on November 10.
We got that first image of Office on the iPad thanks to The Daily, which returns now with that claim of a release date. We’re not sure how likely it might be to stay unchanged over the next five months, but based on the info to come from the site’s source thus far, we’re inclined to believe it may be accurate as of now.
Things are a little less certain when it comes to the Android version of Office, though it’s a possibility that both versions will be released simultaneously on November 10.
