Two nights ago, we told you about a new limited edition Batman Nokia Lumia 900 that would be arriving to help promote the upcoming release of The Dark Knight Rises. At the time, we had little more than a picture Nokia had tweeted of the handset to go on, other than the impression that it looked pretty cool. Now the rest of the puzzle has started coming together, and we’ve learned plenty of additional details about how the phone will be released and what you can do to get one.
The advertising campaign for the phone has begun, letting us know that availability will be starting right at the beginning of June. That doesn’t give you much time to put together the cash you’ll need to pick one up – in the UK, the phone will fetch £500, or a £40 premium over the non-Batman-adorned Lumia 900.
In addition to having a higher price, the limited edition phone will be just that, with some seriously low numbers of handsets available. Phones4u says there will be just 900 for sale, and as the exclusive retailer, that could be it. We wonder if that means availability all across Europe, or if that only applies to the UK.
To complete the Batman experience the phone will arrive with exclusive wallpapers, ringtones, and Batman packaging, as well as codes redeemable for free movie passes.
