Nokia Reveals Limited Edition Batman Lumia 900

When it comes to marketing tie-ins that seem just too big to resist, second only to the Olympics might be the summer Hollywood blockbuster. Just as we’re seeing Olympic-themed phones going up for sale, there’s also going to be a limited edition Lumia 900 released by Nokia just in time for The Dark Knight Rises.

Nokia already had a very limited-edition Batman-themed Lumia 800 available, but with that one now gone, this 900 could be your only chance to snag an official Batman smartphone. Unfortunately for Batman fans in the US, the only markets we’ve heard of that are currently slated to see this handset sold are European – that’s not to say that it won’t make it to the States, but only that there’s not been any evidence to that effect just yet.

So far, the only difference we know of between the Batman edition and a regular Lumia 900 is the laser-etched insignia in its polycarbonate shell, though it’s expected to come in some limited-edition Batman-themed packaging to match. Exact details on the phone’s availability aren’t quite available just yet; it should be out in the next few weeks, but we still haven’t heard about pricing.

The Dark Knight Rises hits theaters on July 20.
