If you are living in the U.S. and have an Android phone chances are you are checking the Amazon Appstore in parallel with the Google Play Store. If so, you will probably notice that there’s an update waiting to be applied for the application (and if not, you can always hit the source link below from your phone to grab the app). It brings the “Test Drive” feature to your phone, if you have one of the “select” devices (more will be added soon).
What is Test Drive? If you’re on the Amazon Appstore, or more specifically, on a product page, you can hit the “Test Drive” button and use your “phone’s touch screen and accelerometer to control the app, simulating the experience of the app running” on your phone. The experience simulates the app running for the first time after install, so basically it is Amazon’s way of doing “try before you buy”. If you want to read more details about Test Drive, follow the source link below.
