Where To Pre-Order an Unlocked Samsung Galaxy S III

When the Samsung Galaxy S III was unveiled on May 3 in London we were told that the 3G HSPA+ (European) version will land at the end of May but the 4G LTE (U.S. and not only) variant will be a little bit late: “this summer”, without exact details.

If you live in the U.S. and you don’t want to wait for “this summer” you might want to check out the Expansys page which allows you to pre-order your unit. You’d also be interested in a European device because it should work on AT&T and T-Mobile, you definitely get the quad-core Exynos, and you definitely get the design which you’ve already seen (not sure what the U.S. carriers will do to the phone in terms of its outer aspect).

$694.99 is what Expansys asks for the device but we’re talking about an unlocked unit with no carrier subsidies. Also, this price refers to the 16GB variant, which is the smallest among them. Also worth mentioning that the phone can be pre-ordered from Negri Electronics too and they seem to have both color variants and all three storage flavors listed. Of course, our friends over at Clove in the U.K. also have the device listed for pre-order, with “first stock due May 30th”.

Should you need a reminder about the specs: Samsung Exynos quad-core 1.4GHz processor, 4.8-inch super AMOLED screen with HD resolution, 1GB of RAM, 16/32/64GB of Internal Storage, eight-megapixel main shooter, 1.9-megapixel webcam, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with TouchWiz UX on top.
