Although it has been about six month since the Samsung Galaxy Note was debuted we have finally gotten our hands on the long awaited official Ice Cream Sandwich ROM from Samsung. A few days ago we reported that XDA-Developers had posted on the Galaxy Note (GT-N7000) Android Development forum that Germany had received the official ICS update through the Kies software. If you are the lucky few that opted for the international Galaxy Note you will now be able to upgrade your device to the official Android 4.0.3 build.
For users concerned with too much change, there is no need to fear. Samsung has kept the user experience cohesive by sticking with a similar TouchWiz interface and application folder system. To update your international Galaxy Note (GT-N7000) follow the instructions on the XDA-Developers post here. For those that want a lot of customization check out the CyanogenMod 9 for the Galaxy Note that Brandon showed off a few days ago.
Be warned that this is only for the GT-N7000 Galaxy Note and not the AT&T version (SGH-i717), if you are trying to update your AT&T Galaxy Note go to this post.
