LG Optimus LTE2 Leak Uncovers Additional Specs, Camera Features

Late last week, we received some of the first news we’d heard of LG’s upcoming Optimus LTE2 Android, including the impressive spec of having a whole two gigabytes of RAM, doubling the memory capacity of most of the high-end phones we see. At the time, we didn’t have much else to go on, but now some additional LTE2 information has leaked, helping to complete our picture of the handset.

The LTE2 will supposedly be powered by a Snapdragon S4 MSM8960 SoC; the MSM8960 Pro might have been a nice treat, but we know the MSM8960 to be a more than capable processor. We knew the phone would have a True HD IPS display, and today’s leak adds that it should measure-in at 4.7 inches. According to this info, the phone will have an eight-megapixel rear camera, 1.3-megapixel front-facer, and support wireless charging.

Some of the claimed software features of the LTE2 may sound familiar, especially with Samsung’s GS3 announcement in recent memory. Just like that phone, the LTE2 should have camera software with the ability to help you choose the best pic from a series of in-sequence stills. Other camera features include voice-actuated shutter control and an HDR imaging mode.

If this leak is to be believed, the LTE2 could hit retail as soon as the end of this month.
