Blue Droid RAZR Coming to Verizon Next Week?

So far, if you’ve wanted a Motorola Droid RAZR,you’ve had the option of the standard black model, as well as both purple and white variants. Sure, Verizon employees could get a special edition of the phone with red accents, but as far as readily-available choices go, we’re left with really just three color options. We keep hearing rumors about a new HD RAZR that may be about to drop, and who knows what colors that handset will come in, but in the interim it looks like there’s one more color choice for the original Droid RAZR about to make its debut, with a leak showing the Android available in blue.

From the looks of things, Verizon is preparing to start selling the blue RAZR in a little over a week, on May 17. The 16GB smartphone will sell for about $150 on-contract and with rebates. As far as we know, this new option is only on its way to the original RAZR, as there hasn’t been any sign yet that a similar new choice will be available for the RAZR Maxx, as well.

It’s unusual to see a new color option show up this far into a phone’s life, especially with there already being talk of this RAZR HD coming to replace the model, but apparently that choice will be arriving all the same, in just a matter of days.
