May 3 is nearly upon us, and once it gets here we’ll hopefully be able to put to bed many of the Galaxy S III rumors that have been piling up over the last several months. Until Samsung finally makes things official, there’s still a little time left for some last-minute leaks and rumors, and that’s just what we have for you this afternoon.

Still tucked-away in one of those cases Samsung has apparently been using for testing the GS3, the handset pictured is a near-perfect match for some of the depictions of the phone we’ve seen thus far, including the technical drawing supposedly from a service manual.

This is one of those nice occurrences where we get to see the unreleased device actually powered-on as it poses for the camera, showing-off its i9300 model number and running Android 4.0.4 with an April 23 software build date.

A new component to the rumors about Samsung’s May 3 event has also come to light, suggesting that in addition to the Galaxy S III, Samsung will have news about another device, currently known only as model i9800. As far as what that might be, we haven’t any indication just yet, but if this is true we’ll be hearing about it from Samsung in just a matter of days.
