Official Spotify Application for the iPad Reportedly Pictured

While Spotify on the iPhone was recently updated with 320kbps streaming option and some other improvements in the fresh 0.4.24 version, users on Android are eagerly waiting for a “major” update — or any update, really — and so do iPad users.

Of course you can run the iPhone app on your iPad but that’s half the experience and if you’re a music enthusiast and have an iPad, this should be something to get you through the (already long) waiting. A Swedish engineer posted the above image to Instagram, claiming that it is a beta version of Spotify’s official iPad app. The description was “It’s getting closer!”, before the image got pulled, which should be a pretty good indication of things to come. As far as the interface goes, those using Twitter on the iPad will find this familiar. Fingers crossed for a quick release!
